“As I see it, our job is to exceed the client’s expectations and part of that is to always try and find a way to meet their requests and realise their vision for a project no matter how challenging.”
“When I look at our team and see the standard and quality of what they are delivering on site – that’s really satisfying.”
“I have a background as a qualified architect. I enjoy the variety of work in my role at Cheevers Poole – from analysing and reviewing information, proposing alternative partition systems, and cross-checking a package of consultants’ drawings. It is an exciting role.”
“It is refreshing to work for a dynamic company that employs strong characters with a ‘can-do’ work ethic. Since 2018, I have been fortunate to work with this passionate and reliable team – whatever challenges are thrown their way, I would back them to deliver.”
Technical Services Director
“Working at Cheevers Poole has allowed me to expand my personal professional skills and horizons in a way I have never had in previous companies. I have been allowed to pursue and develop personal passions for the growth of the company and take on new responsibilities and rolls outside the confines of the job title. The value that the company places in the individual has also provided me with the space and support to see the development and elevation of all those within my team. Cheevers Poole is a company that really cares about its people, it doesn’t just say that.”
“Looking back over the last three years, the energy and excitement that I felt on my first day have only grown. The people I am working with are great, knowledgeable, and passionate about the work we do. We are lucky to work on such amazing projects with professional teams that are innovative and passionate about the ‘homes’ they are creating. It makes coming to work exciting and enjoyable. There is a real sense of teamwork with shared knowledge across all projects and the pride of what we deliver is plain to be seen on all of our faces. Our people constantly strive to find new and improved ways to deliver a high-quality product to the homeowner, working collaboratively with the professional teams to find solutions rather than problems.”
“I joined Cheevers Poole to be part of an ambitious and growing company – not only to be part of that growth but to have a real input into how the company would deliver it. To this day, I am proud of where we have come and what we have achieved. Possibilities are endless for Cheevers Poole clients!”
Small Works & After Care Director
“I’m extremely proud of how the Small Works & After Care team has progressed, we have built a very strong team where everyone supports one another. I would like to thank everyone involved for their support and for the opportunities over the last 4 years. Looking forward to many more years to come!”
Little can ever prepare you for what a listed building demands and holds. Every floorboard, window, brick, stair and moulding can tell a story that is steeped in historic significance and its heritage protected in perpetuity. This is what I enjoy most about my work here. Without people like us, or companies like Cheevers Poole, historic refurbishment would be few and far between.
“A long career in construction requires a passion for challenges and solving problems. You develop an understanding that the journey ultimately decides the quality of the destination. Here at Cheevers Poole, this is where our focus lies and that’s what I love about it.”
“I’m fast approaching my 3-year anniversary working at Cheevers Poole. During that time, I am proud to have helped grow our Aftercare service offering and develop trusting client relationships. What I most appreciate about Cheevers Poole is that although the company is rapidly growing, there remains an emphasis on offering the bespoke one-to-one service that clients deserve, and a focus on making each new staff member feel very welcome. I think it’s a good sign that we all choose to socialise with each other outside of working hours too – great memories have been made at the yearly company getaways.”
Whoops! Something went wrong.
